Been experimenting with various photo manipulation programmes and PowerPoint to produce some repeating patterns. Above copied into PowerPoint and adjustments made.
PowerPoint is a far more sophisticated programme than many people realise.

I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan and a member of the Embroiderers' Guild. Can you imagine how excited I was to find out that the "White Walker" embroidery was being exhibited at Bankfield Museum in Halifax?
There were other embroidery and textile exhibitions on as well so I've split my visit into little chunks. You can get lots more information at... http://museums.calderdale.gov.uk/visit/bankfield-museum www.embroiderersguild.org It can only be the "White Walker" at Bankfield Museum. HBO wanted a stunning backdrop for their press launch announcing Series 5 and the latest DVD boxed set. They commissioned the Embroiderers' Guild to produce a huge artwork featuring the White Walker. The piece is in 4 panels, inclusive of an all-round 30cm border depicting the crests from the "Game of Thrones" families. The army of White Walkers. They look strange and ghostly with those luminous blue eyes.
Bankfield Museum. Halifax. Yorkshire and Humberside branch of the Embroiderers' Guild exhibition25/8/2016 Unbelievably wonderful work. Almost every technique you could think of. Every colour of the rainbow. Some tiny, some large, 2D pieces, 3D pieces, wall hangings, flat pieces. I've just picked a few of my favourites from the multitude of embroideries on show. Rainbow. Each branch was given a colour and asked to stitch a 4" square - joined into strips and arranged in colour groups. Some beautiful pieces by the Young Embroiderers (under 18s).Never too young to start.
Went to Bankfield Museum yesterday. So much to see.
Here are a few snippets from the National Embroiderers' Guild exhibition. Tried some fixes - didn't work.
Uninstalled - reinstalled - same problems. Scoured the internet - postings, YouTube, Adobe forums. Eventually found a suggestion - SO, SO, SO simple. Tried it. WORKED. Can't believe it. Just got an issue now with text. I'll sort that out later. Tomorrow going to Bankfield Museum in Halifax to see the Hardhome Embroidery. Michelle Ayavoro and I did some artistic "loosening up" after a few hours of paperwork related to grant applications. I think the following images speak for themselves. Here are a couple of pages of extracted images. I could take them further by using some of the suggestions on my initial image. I think I will wait until I've completed the next 27 pieces and then select a small number to push to the limit, including producing repeating patterns.
